Isn't it nice when the Federal Government decides they know how to raise your children better than yourself. It relieves parents of the God ordained duties of "raising a child in the way he should go," of teaching them to love and honor their parents, of showing them how to respect and obey authority, and to uphold their families values. Government has encroached over and over into the realm of parental authority and then wonders why more and more children grow up to disrespect authority. The federal government has approved and upheld most of these encroachments in the the realm reserved for parents. So it should come as no suprise that New York City Schools are not only passing out contraceptives without parental consent, but are now handing out the morning after pill to those 14 years old and above. Many families would hold that pre-marital sex is wrong, an adult responsibility, and if engaged in the behaviour then the consequences should be accepted. Many families believe that the morning after pill is just another method of abortion and that abortion is wrong. Why should the Government be allowed to interfere in the rights of parents to raise their children in their own values. Oh yea that would mean allowing American citizens freedom and liberty
Well today Iran's leader Ahmadinejad spoke to the Uniteed Nations Assembly. Did he tremble from the words of President Obama? Sadly no. He accused all of the worlds problems on western nations, especially the United States and Israel. He called for a new "World Order", presumably an Islamic World Order lead by Iran. Prepare ye the way for "Lord Ahmadinedjad".
President Obama went to the United Nations and spoke to the UN Assembly. The topic...violence in the Islamic World. Did the President uphold the American values of Freedom of Religion and Free Speech? On the first value there was no mention of the need for Freedom of Religion. If the Islamic world allowed for freedom of religion there would be no violence toward Christians and it would leave less options for violence toward Israel as well. And freedom of speech...in the Islamic world freedom of speech, in fact many freedoms that we Americans take as a given, seems foreign or worse, non-existant.
As the Heritage Foundation posted today Barak Obama's speech was a big disappointment. He failed to soundly defend the ideal of free speech. He failed to stand up to Iran. He failed to stand with Israel our long time Ally and friend in the middle east. He failed to promote economic freedom. And he failed to project American Strength. It is time for President Obama to stop pandering to world leaders, especially dictators, and stop apologizing for America and her values. If he continues the american people may begin to think he is not "proud to be an american," or worse that he dislikes america and her values and would like to change her into Paul Ryan spoke to the AARP and was booed because he spoke the truth about "Obamacare". The AARP was a full fledged supporter of "Obamacare" (their only complaint was that it didn't go far enough and was not a government single payer plan). The fact that they booed Paul Ryan for trying to speak the truth and to show a plan that would actually save medicare should not be a suprise after all the AARP has become a completely liberal (i.e. socialist) wing of the democratic party. Liberal organizations have no interest in the truth, what is practical and works, or if it is affordable. Their interests lie in control and producing a servile populace. The exact opposite of
Candidate Obama Claimed he would change our relationship with the Mideast...and Changed it has!9/20/2012 "Angry protests over an anti-Islam film spread across the Muslim world Friday, with demonstrators scaling the walls of U.S. embassies in Tunisia and Sudan, torching part of a German embassy and clashing with security forces at an American fast-food restaurant that was set ablaze in northern Lebanon." "Police in Cairo prevented stone-throwing demonstrators from nearing the U.S. Embassy, firing tear gas and deploying armored vehicles to push them back in a fourth day of clashes in the Egyptian capital." (By AYA BATRAWY and LEE KEATH | Associated Press – Fri, Sep 14, 2012) "In a televised speech, Hezbollah leader Sheik Hassan Nasrallah said the U.S. must be held accountable for the film, which was produced in the United States. The U.S. government has condemned the film. "The ones who should be held accountable and boycotted are those who support and protect the producers, namely the U.S. administration," Nasrallah said. He called for protests on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. He urged protesters to call on their leaders to express their anger too. "We should not only express our anger at an American embassy here or there. We should tell our rulers in the Arab and Muslim world that it is 'your responsibility in the first place' and since you officially represent the governments and states of the Muslim world you should impose on the United States, Europe and the whole world that our prophet, our Quran and our holy places and honor of our Prophet be respected," he told his followers in a televised speech." (By ADIL JAWAD and BASSEM MROUE 09/16/12 05:13 ET EDT) "There's no doubt that every Muslim feels in some ways deeply troubled by any insults to the Prophet Muhammad, but how any have seen the video of this movie to make up their own minds? Very few," said Sami al-Faraj, director of the Kuwait Center for Strategic Studies. "You need someone to organize the protests and, in effect, throw the switch." (By BRIAN MURPHY | Associated Press – Sun, Sep 16, 2012) CAIRO (AP) — "Al-Qaida's branch in North Africa on Tuesday called for attacks on U.S. diplomats...." (By MAAMOUN YOUSSEF | Associated Press – Tue, Sep 18, 2012) It is worth remembering that candidate Obama declared that his presidency would transform our relationship with the Mideast countries. Candidate Obama derided U.S. arrogance under the Bush administration and blamed Bush (no surprise) for our troubles abroad. (By: Thomas Del Beccaro 9/19/2012 06:35 AM) Well It appears that Candidate Obama was right. His presidency did transform our relationship with the Middle East and Islam in general. They now have less respect for us, much more anger, very little fear, and no reason to work with the United States. President Obama is running for re-election mostly on his foriegn policy issues and faulty, disingenuous, economic redistributive socialistic economic policies. It has been well known that his economic policies have not worked and has increased dependency on the government. All that leaves is foriegn policy...oh thats right it doesn't appear that foriegn policy has worked either. My Bad. Baxter a humanoid robot may go on sale in October 2012. This robot is capable of many routine Job tasks such as packing and unloading, sorting, inspecting, and light assembly. It will sell for about $22K. I think I will buy one and send it to work for me at a second job while I do my regular job. Then I will purchase another and another till I am able to make the income I would like to have. Then I will stay at home or go fishing while Baxter does the work for me. Or I will just start a Robots Rights Non-Profit and collect donations to gain civil rights for Robots. Robots are People too Oregon Man Faces Eviction if he Hangs US Flag: It is a shame that we live in a country who have those who believe the American flag to be an eyesore and ban it from their Housing Associations. It is worse that we live in a country who have citizens who have no pride in their country or even go so far as to hate the country in which they live.
How President Obama Killed Thousands of Jobs: Socialism always kills jobs. This article dealt with President Obama's refusal to approve the Keystone Pipeline due to "the need for more environmental studies". If environmentalists were to have their way we would all eventually be forced into subsitance agriculture/bartering enclaves...which has nearly killed the environments in many of our worlds nations already. 100-2 Middle School Hoops Blowout...: The article dealt with the "unfairness" of a great team running up the score on an awful team. If you are have an awful team and are concerned about getting blown out don't schedule the game. We are so concerned about fairness, feelings, self-esteem, and equal out comes that if a someone excels at something they must limit their ability to make it fair or be punished. No wonder America is struggling to maintain its standing in the world economically, educationally, technologically, etc. Democrats Propose Tax Cuts for Middle Class Workers, New Tax for Millionares: Democrats are always proposing tax cuts for the middle class but not since the Kennedy administration have they ever actually had a significant net tax cut for the middle class. Raising taxes on just one arbitrary economic group is nothing more than wealth redistribution (which is fancy name for theft). Illegal Aliens, In-State Tuition, and the Law: 12 states are allowing illegal alien students in their states to attend college at in-state tuition rates in violation of federal law. Under Section 1623 of the law, state colleges and universities are prohibited from providing in-state tuition rates to illegal aliens on the basis of residence within the State" unless the same in-state rates are offered to all citizens of the United States. Just try to send your student from Ohio to California (one of these 12 states) for in-state tuition and see how far you get. Also, when an individual takes the oath of office as President of the U. S. he promises to uphold and enforce the laws of the U. S. Since the Obama administration is not pursueing federal lawsuits against these 12 states for violating federal law President Obama has broken his oath of office and should therefore resign. Florida County Will Throw Parents of Truant Kids in Jail: Unless the parents are not allowing their children to go to school and are not homeschooling them then put the truant kids in jail and force them to go to school there. Why punish parents especially when students can ride a bus to school or get dropped off and still not attend classes. Are parents going to have to go to school with the students to make sure they are there. Time's Person of the Year...The Protester: So now anarchists are celebrated as the person of the year for 2011. Figures Hitler was also Time A Judge in Arizona as ruled that Arizona law enforcement can enforce the provision of the Arizona Immigration bill that allows officers to check a persons legal citizenship status if they are suspected of being in the country illegally, once they have been stopped or arrested for another violation of laws.
Finally we can call people who have not entered this country through a legal means exactly what they are, Illegal, and at last, at least in Arizona, do something about it. Probably just about all Americans have no problems with people immigrating to this country when done so under the law. But to come here in any other way is Illegal. And an overwhelming majority of Americans expect the Federal government to enforce our borders, enforce our immigraion laws, and return the violators. Even though the Obama administration refuses to do its constitutional duty regarding immigration, and runs over the constitution in other areas, at least some states are attempting to deal with the problem. My hat is off to Arizona for not buckling to federal pressure and law suits and begini Does this look like a civilized voting process in a civilized representative democracy? No...interesting...supposedly that is what the arab spring was to bring about but instead we get riots, ("protests") and attacks on United States Embassies in North Africa and the Middle East. So far four americans have died, including the US Embassador to Libya, and several Protestors in violent clashes with police. Mob politics always rely on emotion and always results in violence as tempers flair. Pure democracies are nothing more than Mob rule. Mobs can be easily swayed, incited, and motivated with emotions. Whereas Reason and rationality takes time and leads to peaceful solutions and in the few instances in which a peaceful solution is not possible the responses are rational and effective. The Heritage Foundation stated in an article today that "We cannot allow terrorists and rioters to dictate U.S. missions and policy, and Washington must avoid knee-jerk reactions, such as yanking foreign aid, before we know the facts on the ground." While each statement is true I see no reason in suspending foreign aid until we do know the "facts on the ground". It would act as a signal to the governments in these nations that we mean business and they need to get their houses in order and keep order if they wish to enjoy our taxpayers dollars. the Arab Spring began and ended as a Mob movement. Will it continue to be a mob movement or will it become a rational representative democracy willing to work cooperatively with the United States and western culture or will it become at best antagonistic to the West or at worst openly, and actively violent to the United States and her allies. So far the arrow points to antagonism if not outright endorsement of violence. |
