- To express my thoughts and opinions on random topics of Interest.
To Honor and Glorify God:
It is the purpose of every person to glorify God. What does it mean to glorify God? It is to acknowledge God's essence, position, splendor, power, and presence. The whole Universe shows His glory and splendor. "You are worthy our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being." (Revelations 4:11) "Everything comes from God alone. Everything lives by His power and everything is for His glory." (Romans 11:36 LB) "The Heavens declare the glory of God...." (Psalm 19:1) We are given the free will to give Honor and Glory to God. God expects us to,,, "recognize his glory, honor his glory, declare his glory, praise his glory, reflect his glory, and live for his glory." (Purpose Driven Life, Rick Warren) But the choice to Honor and Glorify God is ours.
To Promote Liberty:
The foundation of true Liberty begins with Faith in God, Trust in Jesus Christ for our redemption, and rejuvenation by God's Holy Spirit. Spiritual liberty is essential for all other liberty. It is also a priority to pursue fundamental Truth through fact and sound reasoning. True Liberty leads to freedom for the individual to pursue life, happiness, opportunity, and to own private property in a civil society.
To Promote Constitutional Government:
The Constitution as produced by the founders of the United States of America is the best document to limit tyranny and provide for Liberty and freedom to have been drafted in all of history. It limits federal government intrusion in the life of the citizen and allows for changes to be made as necessary through the amendment process. The Constitution is the best method for preserving the "Rule of Law". government works when the constitution is adhered to and used as intended.
To Promote Conservative Principles:
1. Conservatives believe in an enduring moral order. This moral order for America is based in Judeo-Christian values originating from God. For a conservative these moral truths are permanent.
2. The conservative adheres to the concept of a civil, ordered society. This involves adherence to custom, convention, and continuity. Public policy is thus for the protection, preservation, and improvement of society by maintaining order, justice, and freedom.
3. Conservatives hold to the principle of precepts and precedent. In America the precept is the Constitution of the united States of America. It is a timeless durable foundation not a "living breathing document."
4. The conservative utilizes the principle of prudence. Decisions and actions are based on facts, sufficient reflection (reason), considering probable and possible consequences.
5. Conservatives value the principle of variety. Due to the complexity of socety and human interactions, society can not be constrained by narrow uniformity and egalitarianism. The intracacy and variety of long-established social institutions and modes of life gives a healthy diversity to civilization. The principle of variety also protects against social stagnation and tyranny.
6. Conservatives observe the principle of imperfectability. The observation and knowledge that man is imperfect leads to the understanding that man cannot create a perfect social order. All that can reasonabley be expected is an orderly, civil, just, and free society.
7. Conservatives believe that the principle of private property is foundational for freedom. The right and ability to own private property provides motivation for being responsible, pursue opportunity, show moral integrity, acceptin moral and legal obligations, and supporting general culture. The free market, or capitalism, fosters the creativity and inventiveness that leads to personal property, and offers the most transformational and adaptable of all economic systems. High government spending and taxes inevitable reduces and limits the rights of the individual to enjoy the fruit of his or her own labor and private personal property by confiscating greater and greater portions of it.
8. Conservatives seek to uphold the principle of voluntary community and volontary cooperation. Conservatives therfore oppose coercive, involuntary, collectivism and "charity," which is not charity at all. The welfare state is involuntary collectivism and creates dependency on the state thus the consevative seeks to reform and/or dissolve the welfare state.
9. The conservative believes in, and adheres to, the principle of the Rule of Law. The conservative realizes and promotes the need for prudent restraints on power and human passions. This places the 10th amendment in a foundational role to liberty, freedom, and a just civil orderly society by protecting federalism and limiting centralized government.
10. Conservatives encourage the principle of permanance and progression. Permanance of principles, values, and institutions provide stability and continuety for a society. Progression is the reform, or change, that is prudent, gradual, and leads to improvement of society, thus keeping society from stagnation.
